Available for purchase are these beautiful Bedside Cabinets. They have been painted with '1829 Regency White' to given a smooth and chic finish. For that extra sparkle I have added crystal knobs to the drawers.

Locks of London Dresser

Just finished is this gorgeous dresser by 'Locks of London'. 

This particular dresser benefits from having some intricate carvings and authentic lead glass. 

For this piece I used Annie Sloan's 'French Linen'. To add some real character to the dresser I also lightly distressed it and used wax to really bring out the beautiful details.

Our latest commissioned piece...

Here is our latest commission; a beautiful 'Merchants Chest'!

The client selected Craig & Rose 1829 Acrylic Eggshell in 'Regency White'. This gives the piece a stunning clean finish. The wooden knobs were replaced with Crystal ones which add a sophisticated touch and really sparkle. The finishing touch is 'Parisian' style paper lined to each of the 11 drawers.

Stunning Demi Lune Console Table

I have just completed a 'Shabby Chic' makeover to a Beautiful Demi Lune Console Table!

For this piece I have chosen 'Annie Sloan Old Ochre' and given the top a gorgeous crackle effect! The table has been distressed and given clear and dark coats of wax to really bring out the detail.

About me...

My passion for painted furniture started when I fell in love with a very expensive welsh dresser. It was sadly way out of my budget but having previously worked as a painter and decorator I decided to have a go myself. Weeks of researching and watching Youtube videos I decided that Annie Sloan was my best choice of paint. I was right; it is fabulous to work with and I now have a dresser that stands proudly in my home and I love it!

This was 2 years ago and since then I have  attended an Annie Sloan painting course (the course leader trained with Annie Sloan herself!) and I have gone on to makeover many pieces of unloved furniture. 

Now I bring to you 'Pretty-Shabby' where you can get beautiful pieces of furniture, lovingly restored at an affordable price.
